The production process

Casting - the beginning of precision

It all starts with absolute precision. Our casting specialists create your design using a 3D-supported CAD model. This model is then printed in wax and embedded in a plaster-like material that forms a perfect mold. Once this has hardened, your chosen precious metal is poured in, cooled and cast into the basic shape of your ring.

Polishing & refining

This is where your ring gets its mirror-smooth shine. Using polishing wheels and various polishing pastes, our experienced polishers smooth every surface - even the areas that will later remain invisible - until an even, brilliant finish is achieved. Each ring is carefully balanced to achieve a high-gloss look without compromising the stability of the metal, especially around the prongs once they are shaped and fixed.

Time to grasp the stone

Now your carefully selected stones are securely anchored in your ring. For designs with side stones or a hidden halo, a tiny support surface - the so-called "seat" - is created for each individual stone. The basket is then created: a fine framework of bars that connects the prongs, allows light to pass through from all angles and permanently strengthens the setting.

Our gemstone setters then place each stone precisely in its setting and use special tools to shape the surrounding metal into prongs that are gently pressed over the stone. For maximum stability and brilliance, the thickness of the prong is precisely adjusted to the size and proportions of the stone. The center stone is set last - an essential step, as it bears the greatest strain in everyday life.

The final touches

Before your ring arrives, our quality control specialists subject it to a comprehensive inspection - including a check under a 50x magnifying microscope - to ensure that it meets both our standards and your expectations. Your ring is then given a final clean and polish to ensure that the metal and stones shine flawlessly clean, bright and brilliant.
Now there is only one thing left to do: cherish it for a lifetime.
